Which resort in Tenerife has the best hotels?

I heard years ago about a resort in Tenerife that is really exclusive and has lots of 5 star hotels and is really lovely. Does anyone know where this is? Apparantly its like somewhere almost tropical and we wanna go!!

I think you mean the Mare Nostum Resort which is in Playa de las Americas. It is one big resort with five 5* hotels. There is the Mediterranean Palace, Sir Anthony, Cleopatra Palace, Frame Antonio Palace and the Julio Caesar Palace.
