In your 50s and moved to Spain?
Is there anyone out there who as sold up and moved to spain. Me and my partner have just hit 50,Live in the UK and are thinking of selling up and moving to Tenerife. Can anyone give up some advice who as actually took the plunge. We would have around 200.000 to spend on a property. Are there limited jobs out there for our age group.
I had an aquaintance from the internet stop by here in the Philippines who was living in Palma De Miorca. Richard was in his mid 50’s. He told me the cost of living there is getting sky high and jobs for foreigners are just about nonexistant. Also need to think about the language barrier and visa requirements.
Maybe you should consider living in the tropics. The locals speak good english and are friendly. Cost of living here is relatively low. Foreighners can only own condos or rent here. Visas are pretty easy to get and tourist visa’s can be extended up to 18 months now. Little employment opporitnities unless you want to tutor or teach english.
If your partner is of the same sex, they are very tolerant of that here too.
