Tenerife time share hassle?

Going on hols in October to Tenerife, Player De Las Americas. Went 20 years ago hassled 24/7 by time share touts. Is it still the same. If so what’s the best way to avoid them .

Just ignore them completely

I live in Tenerife & they are SUPPOSED to be getting rid of them off the streets, but it hasn’t been successful yet!
