on april 2, 1988, remy bricka of france undertook to set the record for walking on water. in order to perform this amazing feat, bricka wore a pair of polyester floats on his feet, and had a sail about the size of a kite. he also had a small survival pod in case of emergency. he began his trek on the island of tenerife off the coast of spain. 59 days later he walked onto the shore of trinidad having covered a total of 5636 km. when he arrived bricka was in a state of delirum. apparentley he had brought no food or water with him on his trip. he has relied on a pump to filter seawater, and ate plankton or the occasional fish that landed on this pod.
despite the appalling condition he endures on his first trek, bricka later attempted to cross the pacific ocean from los angeles in the usa, to sydney, australia. how ever after about 4000 km weather condiions forced him to abandon the trip

Even though it was hard, Bricka survived the first trip. Later he tried to cross the Pacific Ocean from Los Angeles to Sydney, Australia, but he couldn’t because of the weather.
